St. Veronica School is a Catholic school. Religious studies form an important part of our curriculum and are integrated into the curriculum and life of our school. A Christian atmosphere permeates the building as our students grow in virtue and service. Although the religious affiliation of all students is respected, all students are expected to participate in formal religion classes. The Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Guidelines for Religious Education K-8 for the Diocese of Trenton form the basis of the religious studies at St. Veronica School . LITURGY, PRAYER, and WORSHIP:
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION: During the seasons of Advent and Lent, students have an opportunity to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Second grade students prepare for and celebrate this sacrament as part of their religious education program. We also encourage students to frequent this sacrament at their own parish at other times during the year. SPECIAL RELIGIOUS PROGRAMS: |

Certain holy seasons of the year are celebrated within the school community. Particular classes and grades are involved in the planning and direction of these celebrations. In particular, classes lead the Christmas Program, Holy Thursday “ Living Stations”, Passover Seder, May Crowning, and Spring Concert. |

Daily prayer is a communal experience within the school population. We begin and end each day as a school community with student led prayers. All classes and faculty participate in first Friday liturgies as well as other holy days of obligation when school is in session. St. Veronica School community participates in liturgies at the opening and closing of school, during Catholic Schools Week, for Thanksgiving and Ash Wednesday. Parents are always encouraged to join us for these celebrations. |
